Vandalism
19300 block of Nadal Street, Canyon Country
A Canyon High teacher reported vandals damaged the windshield of her red 2009 Mini Cooper between 7:30 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. May 3, according to a sheriff's report. The teacher parked the Mini in a school lot near Nadal Street and discovered a four-inch crack in the car's windshield around 10:30 a.m., the report said.

Soledad Canyon Road, Canyon Country
Vandals used black spray paint and a stencil to paint a picture of a rat clutching a sign saying "You lie" on a Canyon Country man's fence between 10 a.m. and 8:40 p.m. May 4, a sheriff's report said.

Driving Under the Influence of Alcohol or Drugs
27800 block of Alta Vista Avenue, Valencia
A 37 year-old Valencia man was arrested in front of his Valencia home for DUI at 1:35 p.m. May 5 after the black 2012 Mercedes he was driving was seen swerving across lanes on Interstate 5. The man's blood alcohol content was nearly four times the legal limit, the report said.

Unlicensed Driver
Arch Street at 5th Street, Newhall
Deputies arrested a 36-year-old gardener driving a gray 1998 Dodge Ram pickup for driving without a license just after 8 p.m. May 5. Deputies stopped the man after he drove through an intersection without stopping, a sheriff's report said. The man did not have any form of identification in the truck or on his person, the report said.

Public Intoxication
Soledad Canyon Road, near Crossglade Avenue, Canyon Country
Deputies arrested an 18-year-old man after watching him stand on the center divider on Soledad Canyon Road near Crossglade Avenue and bang on a car's window while it was stopped at the intersection just before 11 p.m. May 5. When deputies asked how much the man had to drink, he replied, "a lot," a sheriff's report said.

24000 block of Lyons Avenue, Newhall
Vandals tossed rocks through three windows of an office building sometime after 1 p.m. May 5, a sheriff's report said. Deputies saw two rocks lying on an office floor, the report said. The cost to replace the windows and drywall in the office struck by rocks is estimated at $5,000, the report said.

DUI
Driving with Suspended License
Pamplico Drive, Saugus
A 60-year-old Saugus man was arrested after swearing, scuffling and spitting at deputies after they stopped him for DUI just after 4:30 p.m., according to a sheriff's report. Deputies used pepper spray on the suspect, who fought while they tried to place him in handcuffs and in a patrol car, the report said. Deputies have been in contact with the suspect for numerous alcohol-related disturbances, the report said. In this incident, the suspect drove his white 2003 Chevy Silverado pickup onto the lawn of a witness, the report said.

Petty Theft
27100 block of McBean Parkway, Valencia
Thieves stole a bike belonging to a 14-year-old boy between 3:45 p.m. and 4 p.m. May 6, a sheriff's report said. The teenager had parked his bike at the bike rack, entered the restaurant to purchase food and returned to find the $800 bike missing, the report said.
