I sure am proud to be a conservative Republican. Yes, I voted for Senator John McCain and was disappointed with his loss. However, on Jan. 20, President-elect Barak Obama will be my president and I will respect that no matter what and will pray every day for him. His success equals ours.

I guess you could say Republicans are good losers. I just wish I could say the same about the left. It was amazing how much the left wanted to see George W. Bush fail. Do you recall how many called our president "King George," while others swore they would leave this country if he were re-elected? (How I wish they had.)

And the beat goes on. The left makes really good winners. I can see how happy they are about getting the person in office that they supported. Good for them.

But please, can they not just take their losses graciously? The day after the election, they were already protesting Proposition 8 and filing lawsuits.

Will they ever learn to respect the people's rights and wishes? The vote was taken. Actually twice now. Enough already. You lost. Accept it, and take it like a Republican.
