A slew of college commitments from local athletes have come in recently.
Hart High senior guard Melissa Boscarino has accepted a scholarship to play basketball at NCAA Division II Dominican University of California in San Rafael.
Boscarino, a four-year varsity player, averaged 7.8 points, 4.4 assists, 7.1 rebounds and 2.8 steals per game in 2011-12.
Valencia High senior defensive end Lucas Daggon has signed on to play for NAIA Dakota Wesleyan University in South Dakota.
Daggon recorded 10.5 sacks last season and was an All-Santa Clarita Valley first teamer.
Trinity three-sport athlete James Brooks has decided on football for his future.
The senior will be a preferred walk-on at NCAA Division II Hillsdale College in the Michigan.
The All-CIF football and basketball player caught 43 passes for 904 yards with 23 touchdowns for the Knights football team from the wide receiver position.
Finally, Santa Clarita Christian All-Heritage League senior forward Tikko Moore will play for NAIA Simpson College in Redding.
