The Master’s College pitcher A.J. Work has been named the Golden State Athletic Conference Pitcher of the Week.

The junior starter picked up two wins for the Mustangs over the past seven days. He went 7 1/3 innings and gave up one run on five hits in a 9-1 win over Vanguard, and he helped TMC beat Concordia 2-1 by allowing just one run on six hits over a seven-inning complete game.

Work is the third Mustang to earn GSAC honors this month. Teammate Charlie Gillies was named Pitcher of the Week on April 2, and catcher Bryan Lucas was named conference Player of the Week two weeks ago.

TMC is 31-19 overall and 16-16 in GSAC play. The Mustangs host a doubleheader against La Sierra on Friday to finish the regular season.
