The 12th annual Our Lady of Perpetual Help Catholic Church Teabags Tea and Garden Tour will be held April 29 at the Valencia home of Sally Coss.

Coss, who has hosted the the tea and tour for all 12 years, said she hopes to have a good turnout for the event which benefits a variety of philanthropic nonprofits.

The day will begin at 1 p.m. with a tour of the Coss gardens, which spill down the hillside behind the house in floral glory, adjacent to the Vista Valencia Golf Course.

Coss said the garden is home to several hundred rose bushes and hundreds of other perennials, and other plants and trees.

High tea will begin at 2 p.m. with a large selection of savories and sweets.

Among the menu’s highlights are homemade scones and finger sandwiches.

“We have a lot of women who work very hard at putting on this tea,” Coss said. “It is unique in the Santa Clarita Valley because of the many different items we serve.”

The food served at the tea is all homemade, said Coss. It is all made by members of the Teabags.

The OLPH Teabags now number more than two dozen women, Coss said.

Coss said the event is “the perfect Mother’s Day present.”

Tickets to the Tea and Garden Tour include the high tea and garden tour. For tickets call Wendy at 661-254-2350.
