Former Hart girls soccer player heads to S.F. State

Former Hart High girls soccer player Jenna Rubin signed a National Letter of Intent to play soccer at San Francisco State University on Wednesday, according to her father Bruce.

Rubin, a sophomore at Santa Barbara City College, graduated from Hart in 2009 as a four-year varsity player.

The midfielder was named to the Western State Conference first team for her play this season, as SBCC won the WSC, North Division.

In 2010, Rubin set a then-school record with 12 assists.

San Francisco State is an NCAA Division II school which plays in the California Collegiate Athletic Association.

Last season, the Gators finished last in the CCAA, South Division with a record of 8-8-2 overall, 6-8-2 CCAA.
