A Canyon Country resident contacted deputies after spotting two males looking into vehicles in the 17000 block of Canvas Street in Canyon Country.
Deputies arrived and arrested three men for allegedly trying to steal high-quality tires and rims valued at more than $20,000, a sheriff's statement read.
Adan Estrada, 21, and Juan Salas, 20, of Los Angeles, were arrested and booked for the investigation of grand theft, taking a vehicle without the owner's consent, and conspiracy to commit burglary, according to the statement.
All the charges are felonies.
A third suspect, Ricardo Esquer, 23, of Los Angeles, was found during a vehicle search. He was on probation for vehicle theft and was being held without bail pending future court and probation proceedings, according the statement.
Detectives are checking similar theft cases to determine if the suspects might be responsible for other crimes in the Santa Clarita Valley.
