Valencia High graduate Danny Worth was sent down to Triple-A Toledo from the Detroit Tigers on Saturday to make room for the return of Brandon Inge, the veteran infielder who had been on the disabled list.
Worth, 26, made the Tigers' Opening Day roster for the first time in his career and scored the winning run for Detroit on Opening Day on April 5.
He appeared in three games and was 1-for-5 at the plate.
He has now appeared in 72 big league games over three seasons.
Worth has already played in two games for Toledo and is 3-for-8 with a home run and a double.
