We people of faith can and do hold different opinions on issues. In regard to Proposition 8, I am puzzled that those who have known/experienced religious discrimination would choose to discriminate against gays and lesbians whose sexuality is NOT a choice.
What might have been accomplished if the millions of dollars and the inordinate amount of human energy expended for Yes on 8 had been directed to the more significant and far-reaching issues of poverty, health care and immigration reform?
What if we all lived as if the committed relationships of others really mattered?
