Rep. Loretta Sanchez, D-Garden Grove, and Rep. Howard “Buck” McKeon, R-Santa Clarita, held a news conference at the preserve Monday to introduce the Big Cats and Public Safety Protection Act, which would prohibit private possession of big cats except at qualified facilities, such as zoos, as well as outlaw the breeding of big cats except at qualified facilities.
