Methodist services

Pastor Stan Fix will lead the journey from Palm Sunday to Easter in the sanctuary at Friendly Valley Community Church (United Methodist). All are welcome.

What and When:

Palm Sunday, 10 a.m. on April 1: Sunday of the Passion, Pastor Fix will preach on “The Foolishness of the Cross”; Holy Communion will be celebrated.

Maundy Thursday, 7 p.m. on April 5: a living tableau representing Leonardo da Vinci’s “The Last Supper” and Holy Communion by candlelight will be celebrated.

Good Friday, 10 a.m. on April 6: Pastor Fix will present a meditation on “The Day Jesus Died” accompanied by special music.

Easter Sunday, 10 a.m. on April 8: a glorious celebration including organ, brass and chancel choir music with a message by Pastor Fix; “Never Say Never.”

Church services

What: Real Life Church celebrates Holy Week services. All are welcome, especially families.

When: 7 p.m. on Good Friday; 5 p.m. and 7 p.m. on April 7; Sunrise service at 6:30 a.m. on Easter Sunday, along with 8:30 a.m., 10 a.m. and 11:30 a.m. services. Live lion show on Friday and Saturday at 6:30 p.m. and Sunday at 8 a.m.
