EZ-CAP health plan administration software of MZI HealthCare LLC of Valencia has been selected by the Luzerne-Wyoming Counties Mental Health/Mental Retardation Program in Pennsylvania to automate claims and other health care transactions for the two counties.

“Havin’ a Ball opens in Valencia”
Havin’ a Ball, which teaches ballroom dancing, took over the former Chico’s women’s clothing store location on Town Center Drive in November. The dance studio has 4,500 square feet of floor space. The owner Christian Perry, owner and choreographer on “Dancing with the Stars,” has a nother studio in Pasadena.

“VIA event stresses law for employers”
In the midst of a rising number of employee complaints statewide, lawyers offered advice on how to better classify employees and handle their wages at the Valley Industry Association luncheon. Most frequently, employers face litigation issues that stem from misclassifying employees as independent contractors, or as exempt when they are nonexempt advised attorneys from the law firm of Poole & Shaffery.

A local group of tech-oriented group of entrepreneurs, developers, designers and investors will hear from Brad Feld, co-founder of the Foundry Group, a Colorado-based venture capital firm, and entrepreneur and author at the SCV Startup group’s monthly meeting April 11.
