The city of Santa Clarita invites kids ages 4 to 11 to enjoy a "Kids Night Out" from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. on Dec. 12 at the Community Room of Santa Clarita Park, 27285 Seco Canyon Road in Saugus.

The event provides a fun, supervised environment for kids to enjoy food, a movie, crafts and games. City officials who lead the activities are fingerprinted and CPR/First Aid-certified.

The cost for "Kids Night Out" is $18 per child. Registration is required and can be done online at www.santa-clarita.com/seasons, by mail or by walk-in at the Santa Clarita Aquatics Center, 20850 Centre Pointe Parkway in Canyon Country.
