Two former Hart High swimmers turned in All-America performances at the NCAA Division II Women’s Swimming and Diving Championships this week.

The event, held at the Mansfield ISD Natatorium in Mansfield, Texas, took place from Wednesday through Saturday, with University of Indianapolis freshmen Samantha Asencio and Hayley Good taking part.

The two played key roles in Hart’s Foothill League title run last season, and both girls were named All-Americans while at Hart in 2008, 2009 and 2010.

Good received honorable mention All-America honors for her ninth-place 800-yard free relay finish.

But it was her performance on the final day that made the most noise.

Good combined with teammates Maura Donahue, Julia Madeira and Meghan Donahue break the University of Indianapolis record in the 400 free relay with a time of 3 minutes, 25.09 seconds, according to the school.

Asencio finished 15th in the 200-yard medley relay to take honorable mention All-America honors.

The University of Indianapolis finished 12th at the event, with Wayne State capturing the overall title.
