Santa Clarita Valley residents interested in learning about the process of becoming a priest are invited to an open house from 1 to 4 p.m. on April 21 at St. John’s Seminary in Camarillo.

A special tour for local residents will take place at 2 p.m. and will be led by local seminarian Matt Murphy. Families are invited to the tour.

Murphy recently shared the path to priesthood during a presentation with six local Boy Scouts and their families. The scouts have been working on the Ad Altare Dei religious emblem for the Catholic faith since September and are wrapping up their study of the seven sacraments under direction of Ad Altare Dei counselors Sue Peak and Michael Schneider.

St. John’s Seminary is located at 5012 Seminary Road in Camarillo. For details and to RSVP, contact
