Sheriff's Officials to Host Library Campout

Sheriff's Department officials from the Santa Clarita Valley station will be on hand in Canyon Country on Tuesday to talk to residents about law-enforcement concerns.

The event in the Canyon Country Library parking lot had been dubbed "Community Campout."

Residents, business leaders and community representatives are invited to the campout and to talk about law-enforcement issues in the SCV.

Among those on hand will be station Captain Anthony La Berge, Chief Neal Tyler and Commanders Arthur Ng and Cecil Rhambo.

They will discuss issues ranging from Neighborhood Watch, Community Advisory Committee, the Sheriff's Booster Club and volunteer and reserve programs.

"Community Campout" will take place from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. in the parking lot of the Canyon Country Library, located at 18601 Soledad Canyon Road, Canyon Country.
