Santa Clarita is well-known for its fires. We have the Santa Ana winds that make the canyons and passes a big risk.

San Francisquito Canyon is full of ranches that have (done a) poor job of keeping weeds clean.

So to prepare, the city is going to make sure (it) is clean of weeds, gasoline, (and will) keep water pipes in good condition just in case of a fire.

The Fire Department keeps them (in) check (but) still some places don't follow the appropriate cleaning.
Sure, they get fines, but (still) put our firefighters in a risk. Parts of Canyon Country, Newhall, Val Verde and most of the rural parts of Santa Clarita are places of risk.

So (we) might as well tell the ranch owners to prepare for the worst. Clean up!
