Valencia High baseball player Trey Williams has picked up another honor.

The senior was named to the Baseball America 2012 Preseason High School All-America Second Team.

This marks the second organization to name Williams an All-American this season, after Maxpreps.com named him one of top 30 players nationally.

The Pepperdine University commit was listed as a third baseman by Baseball America and was one of nine players on the second team.

Williams is listed as a third baseman and shortstop for the Vikings this season.

He was named The Signal’s All-Santa Clarita Valley Player of the Year in 2010 as a sophomore and finished his 2011 campaign as a first-team selection after ending the season by batting .500 with six home runs and 10 RBIs in his final 11 games.

Valencia is off to a 3-0 start to the year and has reached the semifinals of the Easton Tournament where it will host Alemany High today at 3 p.m.

Williams went 2-for-3 with three RBIs and a walk in the Vikings’ quarterfinal 8-4 victory over Chaminade on Tuesday.
