Spring, summer, winter? Who can tell anymore? However, a little more rain would be nice.

Earvin ‘Magic’ Johnson, an NBA legend and business entrepreneur, will serve as the keynote luncheon speaker at the annual VIA B2B show.

Tickets to luncheon, VIP reception and exhibit hall are $150. Exhibit Hall open 1 to 7:30 p.m.; admission for Exhibit Hall is $20.

The event will be held Thursday at the Hyatt Regency Valencia. Register at www.VIA.org or call (661) 294-8088.
Yum, fish fry

It looks like St. Clare’s Catholic Church in Canyon Country may have had their biggest opening night yet for the annual Lenten Fish Fry on Friday night.

The food, as always, was spectacular. The volunteers were friendly and efficient. The desserts, well ... let’s just say, there went the diet.

The fish fry continues 4:30-8 p.m. each Friday evening through March 30.

There’s no better meal deal in town. A two-piece dinner is $8.50 while the three-piece dinner is $9.50. Takeout available.
St. Clare’s is at 19606 Calla Way, Canyon Country.

Fashion, Fun & Fantasy
Do you have your tickets yet for what promises to be one of the best night outs in the SCV this year? Soroptimist International of Greater Santa Clarita Valley’s Fashion, Fun & Fantasy will be held Sunday, March 18, at Hyatt Regency Valencia.

Boutiques open at 3 p.m., with doors opening for the Sunday Night Supper Show at 5:30 p.m.

The evening, a perfect couple’s date, will include not only a fashion show, but also a comedy performance.

Sponsorships are available including “Head Table” at $3,000, “Best Seat in the House” at $2,000 and “VIP Tables of 10” at $1,250. Individual tickets are $80.
