Valencia High graduate Amy Moore had made the 2012 Great Britain national softball team.

Moore, a junior catcher for University of the Pacific, is one of 16 players chosen to represent Great Britain.

The 2009 Valencia High graduate and starting catcher for the 2007 national championship Vikings team will join Team Great Britain after the conclusion of her junior year with Pacific.

Great Britain will compete at the Canadian Cup in Vancouver this summer.

That event will serve as a warm up for the 2012 World Championships in Whitehorse, Yukon, Canada from July 13-22.

Moore's former batterymate at Valencia, pitcher Jordan Taylor, will represent the USA Softball Women's National Team at the World Championships.

Moore is able to compete for Great Britain because father, Stephen, was born on the Royal Air Force Base Burtonwood just outside of Warrington, Lancashire, England.

The former Viking's grandmother is British.

Through three games at Pacific this season, Moore is 2-for-8 with an RBI.

She was an All-Big West first teamer in 2011.
