Movies at the library

There are free movies, discussions and snacks at the Santa Clarita-Valencia Library every third Saturday of each month, at 1:30 p.m. in the Meeting Room. This Saturday, Feb. 18, the film shown will be 2010's "Shutter Island," with the book by Denis Lehane. This film is rated R, so parents, please abide by the movie ratings for this and other films.

On March 17 the film will be "Scott Pilgrim vs. The World," rated PG-13. (Book by Brian Lee O'mally.)

On April 21 the film will be "The Help," rated PG-13. (Book by Kathryn Stockett.)

On May 19 the film will be "Easy A," rated PG-13. (Related book is "The Scarlet Letter" by Nathaniel Hawthorne.)
