Television personality Stephanie Edwards recently toured Santa Clarita Valley International Charter School and met with students of the growing charter school based in Castaic.

Edwards is the longtime host of the KTLA telecast of the Tournament of Roses held annually in Pasadena on New Year’s Day. She toured classrooms, met with students and learned about the project-based curriculum offered at SCV International.

“Today was incredible,” SCV International’s Director of Education Dawn Evenson said. “Our learners were eager to share their day with Stephanie. You could see that she was moved by her visit, by the children that she interacted with.”

Edwards will serve as guest speaker at SCV International’s Vision in Education dinner scheduled for March 23 at the Hyatt Regency Valencia. The dinner will honor Dennis King for his continued dedication to education throughout the Santa Clarita Valley.
