Canyon Country architect promoted

California-based construction management firm Gafcon Inc. announced the promotion of Ron Takaki of Canyon Country to department manager of the company's Los Angeles office.

Takaki has more then 30 years of management-level experience leading architectural and engineering teams in a variety of large and complex projects, according to information provided by the company. His expertise ranges from urban and residential development to theater and motion picture production to hospitality and industrial facilities and much more.

Takaki is a licensed architect in California and holds a bachelor's degree in architecture from California Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. He attended multiple courses at Harvard University's Graduate School of Design and has been a guest speaker at Stanford University's Graduate School of Design, according to the information provided.

Takaki will oversee many projects in the Los Angeles area including several pursuing Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design certification.

As a LEED Accredited Professional, Takaki is credited with having the adequate knowledge of green building practices and the LEED Green Building Rating System enabling him to take on such projects.
