Rosedell Elementary School students recently participated in the Legoland Jr. Lego League Expo at the theme park.
The school had five teams of first-, second-, third- and fourth-graders to take part in the competition with a theme of food safety.
The teams had to study a particular food and then build a model out of Legos that explained how their chosen food was made and how to keep that food safe from contamination.
The teams then presented their models and a poster to judges and to other teams. The competition was meant to teach the children about science, technology, engineering and math.
