Air Force film festival
In celebration of Air Force Week, the Air Force Film Festival hosts two complimentary screenings of the film "Fighter Pilot: Operation Red Flag," from 3 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. Sunday at the Edwards Canyon Country 10 Theater, 18800 Soledad Canyon Road.

Guest speakers include Mayor Bob Kellar and speakers from the Air Force. A question and answer session with the audience follows each screening.

City sets into street work
The city of Santa Clarita will begin construction improvements at street crossings adjacent to Cedarcreek Elementary School from Monday through Dec. 5. The project includes modifications at the intersection of Camp Plenty Road and Four Oaks Street.

The goal of the project is to enhance student safety by reducing the speed of vehicles near school grounds and increasing the visibility of school crossings.

During construction, Camp Plenty Road will be closed to through traffic from Nadal Street to Cedarcreek Street.

Detour signs and alternative routes for pedestrians will be made available.
