I want to preserve traditional marriage

I voted "yes" on Proposition 8 because I believe in the sanctity of marriage that is the design of God, our creator.

Marriage is between one man and one woman in a miraculous, procreative purpose.

We as California voters have voted three separate times on this issue, have successfully passed each initiative, and now the fallout from Proposition 8's opponents is louder than ever.

I've seen how government by the people for the people has been derailed by the judicial branch of government legislating rather than interpreting law. This borders on fascism.

A gentle reminder: Gays are not equal in this realm. If they were, we might as well make provisions for polygamists, triads, lower the marriage age limit to 13 and even consider arguments for bestiality.

Who would we be to question the relationship of a man and his "best friend?" Sounds sick? Where do we draw the line?

Is being gay in our DNA? Prove it, and good luck to you.

Gays do already have legally recognized partnerships and benefits, and there are laws that forbid hate crimes against gays.

So in terms of equal rights, the gay lifestyle cannot be confused with a godly design - uniquely procreative and miraculous unions - it is NOT comparable.

God, and those of us who choose to obey his will and his way, do not hate gays. We love all equally, but simply condemn the sin, just as God does.

Remember, we are supposed to be one nation under God.
