Hayley Wylde, a freshman English major from Castaic was recently listed on the 2011 fall semester dean’s list at the University of Portland.


Students need at least a 3.5 grade point average to be eligible for the dean’s list.

The University of Portland has been closely affiliated for a century with the Congregation of Holy Cross in South Bend, Ind.. U.S. News & World Report ranks the institution as one of the top 10 regional universities in the American West.

Robbie Mousselli
Robbie Mousselli, a junior biology major from Valencia, was named to the Dean’s List at California State University, Monterey Bay for the fall semester.

The Dean’s List recognizes students who have achieved a minimum grade-point average of 3.5 for a course load of at least 12 credits.

He is the son of Al and Bonnie Mousselli of Valencia and is a 2008 graduate of Valencia High School.

Thomas Grossman
Thomas Grossman of Stevenson Ranch was named to the University of Saint Mary Fall 2011 Dean’s Honor List.

USM students need at least a grade point average of 3.5 or better to be eligible for the list. The University of Saint Mary is located in Leavenworth, Kan.


Adrian Quidilla
Adrian Quidilla, a student at Tesoro Del Valle Elementary School, will travel to Washington, D.C. in July to participate in the People to People World Leadership Forum.


Quidilla will take part in an exclusive speaker panel on Capitol Hill composed of members of Congress, take part in an exclusive international conflict resolution workshop to learn the skills it takes to become an international peace builder and will meet diplomatic officials at an embassy dinner.


He will also have the opportunity to explore the site of the Battle of Gettysburg, discover the monuments and memorials in Washington D.C. and to see the treasures held at the Smithsonian Institution’s museums.
