Available Monday through Friday at the SCV Senior Center in Newhall. Meals are also available when you call one day ahead at Bouquet Canyon Seniors, Monday through Friday, (661) 513-9479, and available Monday, Wednesday and Thursday at the Masonic Lodge in Friendly Valley (661) 299-4595.

Monday —  Salisbury steak

Tuesday — Chicken jambalaya

Wednesday — Pork chop

Thursday — Chili egg puff

Friday — Beef tomato

The SCV Senior Center is located at 22900 Market St., Newhall. For a detailed monthly calendar, call the center at (661) 259-9444. All the following activities will occur at the SCV Senior Center, 1 p.m., in rooms A1-A2 unless otherwise indicated.
Wednesdays from noon to 1 p.m., blood-pressure checks held, Activity Room 6.
Jan. 25 — Facey Medical Group presents “Heart Health — Part One.” “Part Two” will take place in February.

Spine education program
Henry Mayo Newhall Memorial Hospital’s free Spine Education Program offers valuable information on how you can take better care of your spine, including lifestyle changes that may help with pain management and prevent future injuries. Classes meet 5 to 6 p.m. the second Wednesday of each month at Henry Mayo’s Ambulatory Care Center, 25751 McBean Parkway, #310, Valencia. Seating is limited. Info: (661) 253-8959.
