It seems that the social scene is winding back up in the Santa Clarita Valley. I hope to see you about town.

Dionne Warwick concert and party

Shelley and G. Marshall Hann hosted a fantastic meet-n-greet cocktail party for Friday night’s Dionne Warwick concert at the Santa Clarita Performing Arts Center on the Valencia campus of College of the Canyons.

The food, conceptualized by Tamra Levine, of Salt Creek Catering, reflected a taste of Brazil, which Warwick now calls home.

The Hanns donated the cocktail party to benefit the K-12 Arts Education Outreach program at the PAC.

Seen at the event: Scott and Vanessa Wilk, Rita and Lou Garasi, Mike Burger, Michele Jenkins, Gloria Mercado and Bruce Fortine, Jack and Doreen Shine and Dennis Poore.

Chamber installation promises 007 good time The SCV Chamber of Commerce 88th annual Installation Dinner will be held 6 p.m. Friday, Jan. 20 at the Hyatt Regency Valencia. Chick-fil-A hosts fundraiser

Sean Sebel, 20, is in the fight for his life and currently undergoing his fourth round of chemotherapy for stage 4 cancer.

A fundraiser to help Sean and his family will be held at Chick-fil-A in the Westfield Valencia Town Center, 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 1.

He is a recent graduate of Valencia High School where he was a drummer in the band. Sean is currently a student at College of the Canyons.

His parents, Robert and Sue Sebel, are long-time Valencia residents and local business owners.

The family will receive a portion of the Chick-fil-A proceeds the restaurant makes during the event.

The fundraiser will also feature a silent auction, raffle and bake sale.

A “Buzz Booth” will take donations, and as a show of support for Sean, anyone willing can have his or her head shaved, buzzed or trimmed by a professional hair stylist.

Additionally, there will be music by Johnny Strat, a DJ, a video game truck, a bounce house and a performance by the Valencia high school drum line and choir.

New addition to the Valencia

Acura family Don and Cheri Fleming have brought a new puppy into the Valencia Acura family.

The puppy, a shih tzu, is named Test Drive, and will be known as Tessi. She joins her stepbrother Speed Bump, known as Bumper.
