The Southern California Football Association finalized the conference realignment on Friday for the next two football seasons.

College of the Canyons will play the 2012 and 2013 seasons as a member of the National Division, Northern Conference, which includes six other teams.

Though the conference is operating under the same name it has the past two seasons, it now includes two new teams — Pasadena and Moorpark.

The conference will also include holdovers Allan Hancock, Bakersfield, Ventura and Cerritos, but will go without El Camino, which moved to the National Division, Central Conference.

From 2010-11, the 37 community college football teams in Southern California were divided into three divisions based on the level of competition.

Under the realignment, the teams have merged into just two divisions. In both cases, COC plays at the highest competitive level.

The SCFA has yet to release schedules for the upcoming seasons.
