Cowboy Festival

The Cowboy Festival, held on the "Old West" streets of Melody Ranch Motion Pictures Studio in Newhall, is one of the must-do entertainment highlights in the SCV each year. More than 2,000 people are expected to attend 24th annual Taste of the Town this year to help support mental health services for children and families in Santa Clarita. More than 40 local restaurants, caterers, wine and beer vendors will serve up delectable tastes. This year's "delicious" event will take place on May 6.

Fourth of July Parade

This year's Fourth of July parade will once again take place in Old Town Newhall, starting at 9 a.m. on, of course, July 4. Details will become available at ww.scvleon.com/parade but this is one of the most community-oriented events in the SCV, so don't miss it.

Concerts in the Park

As always, last year's Concerts in the Park concert series thrilled outdoor audiences on summer nights at Central Park in Saugus. This year's series will take place on Saturday nights at 7 p.m., July 7 through Aug. 25. The 2012 schedule details may be posted on the website by the end of this month.
