The Santa Clarita valley-based Legacy 18s team had its best finish ever by winning the Southern California Volleyball Association tournament on Saturday at the American Sports Center in Anaheim.

The Legacy club team is mostly represented by players from four different local high schools - Valencia High (Austin Csiszar, Griffin Ender, Eric Ensing and Daniel Salovich), Saugus High (Matthew Coleman and Colby Wilson), Golden Valley High (Alec Schlossman) and Canyon High (Michael Foster).

Legacy is coached by John Price, the former Cal State Bakersfield head women's volleyball coach and Cal State Northridge men's volleyball coach.

The team was formerly coached by Valencia High graduate Teddy Goetz, who moved on from the position to take a job as an industrial real estate agent in Manhattan Beach.
