I found Patricia McKeon’s comments in her interview with The Signal refreshing (“McKeon aims for state Assembly seat,” Nov. 29, 2011). How often do we hear a political candidate say he or she may not have all the answers?

It’s clear that a number of those who want a career politician to fill Cameron Smyth’s seat in Sacramento are spending their time attacking McKeon.

She sounds like she’s got all the experience and guts necessary to stand up to the special interests. I believe the residents of the Santa Clarita Valley have been lucky to have a team like the McKeons working for us for the last 20 years.

California needs not only the experience, but also the wisdom that Patricia can bring to the Assembly.
