An Agua Dulce man facing a murder charge in the death of his neighbor remains behind bars today after a Los Angeles Superior Court judge denied a request to have his bail reduced.

Dennis Keene, 64, faces charges of murder and drunken driving in the August crash that killed Lori Lindlief, 55, while she was walking her dogs on an Agua Dulce street.

Last week, on the heels of a preliminary hearing, Keene was ordered to stand trial and had his bail increased from $1 million to $3 million.

Keene's lawyer, Ira Chester, said he would petition the court to lower his client's bail.

On Tuesday, the court denied him any reduction in bail.
He is expected to be arraigned on the criminal charges against him before Christmas.

In September, a month after he was charged, Keene posted the $1 million bail amount to be released from custody.

He remains in custody.
