I couldn't help but notice the contrast between two articles printed on the Wednesday, Oct. 22, 2008, front page.
The first was the very serious issue of bullying, which tragically lead to the suicide of a young student.
I'm disappointed that The Signal chose to write the second article on the same front page about such an inconsequential event as a Halloween parade at school, especially when a carnival venue was already planned.
Who would keep their children at home over costumes? The education of our students is paramount and should not be hijacked by parents with such trivial issues.
Halloween is fun but should occur outside of school.
