Speaker was "married to the KKK"
The former wife of a California Ku Klux Klan member will speak about tolerance at 6:30 p.m. tonight at the Hart High School Auditorium. The city of Santa Clarita hosts the event as part of its a speaker Season of Diversity program. The speaker will talk about making choices and taking responsibility for them.
The school is located at 24825 N. Newhall Avenue.

CHP cadet ready for patrol
Local high school and College of the Canyons graduate Joshua Greenwood is on duty after recently completing CHP cadet training. Greenwood is assigned to the West Los Angles Area office. He is a 2002 graduate of Hart High School and worked in customer service prior to joining the California Highway Patrol.

Free drive- through flu shots
The city of Santa Clarita, in partnership with the L.A. Department of Public Health, College of the Canyons and the L.A. County Sheriff and Fire departments, will host the third annual free drive-thru flu shot clinic from 10 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Friday at the College of the Canyons, 26455 Rockwell Canyon Road.
