We need to fight childhood obesity

My name is Janae. I'm 15 years old and I go to Valencia High School. For one of my English essays we were to write an essay about a letter to the editor. I actually really got into it.

I think that one of our main concerns today is childhood obesity. I think that a lot of fast food restaurants are one of the main causes for childhood obesity.

Most parents, in the world we live in today, don't have any time to make their children meals, so the quickest solution is to run through a fast food restaurant.

I think that one of the ways we can help reduce the percentage of childhood obesity is by making the food at fast food restaurants a little healthier.

Most of the food we eat from fast food restaurants is processed and full of unhealthy, unnatural elements that are very harmful for our bodies to break down.

It also takes longer for our bodies to digest food that is not meant for it, therefore making it harder for our bodies to digest, causing it to settle in our bodies and collect fat.

Please help fight childhood obesity by making the food we eat almost every day a little healthier. Thank you.
