No one was injured in a solo traffic collision in Castaic this morning that sent a car over the side of the road into a ravine, a California Highway Patrol officer reported.

The collision shortly after 8 a.m. occurred on Lake Hughes Road just north of Dry Gulch Road.

No one was trapped or injured in the crash, a CHP spokesman said.

Officers called for a tow truck with at least 50 feet of cable.

Dry Gulch Road is about eight miles east of Interstate 5, near the northeastern edge of Castaic Lake.
