Obama sign defaced, too

In response to the statement that some intolerant liberal stole your McCain and Yes on 8 signs, I had my Obama sign defaced and then stolen earlier this summer.

Should I then think that it must have been an intolerant conservative who did that to my sign? The level of intolerance around this community has become very high lately.
