On Oct. 12, Agua Dulce Elementary School students assembled on the blacktop to join first lady Michelle Obama’s effort to set a new Guinness World Record for the most people doing jumping jacks in a 24-hour period. The challenge was to have at least 20,000 people worldwide to do jumping jacks for one minute. Agua Dulce students were excited and proud that their little school could be part of a global effort. School leaders were pleased that the attempt was a fun and unifying way for students to exercise and practice healthy habits.
