I read the letter from Maria Gutzeit in The Signal recently about Measure S and the "old style" water softeners.
How many of these units are estimated to exist in Santa Clarita?
Ms.Gutzeit's letters refers to "...the last few softeners..." to be removed to help the environment.
I don't know much about this, but how could so few be the root of the problem? What about agricultural runoff with pesticides? Industrial runoff?
Again, I don't know the whole story, but why blame the "few" homeowners with this?
