The Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station will temporarily and intermittently close several local intersections today between 11 a.m. and 1 p.m., due to the funeral procession and motorcade for Deputy Randy Hamson.

Although several additional deputy Sheriffs are being added to the area for traffic control purposes and to help motorists, periodic delays will be inevitable.

The procession will travel from the services at Grace Baptist Church, 22833 Copper Hill Drive, to interment at Eternal Valley Memorial Park, 23287 Sierra Highway.

"We are asking all motorists to remain patient, follow the directions of the deputies, use alternate routes, be aware of the closures, tell a friend, and plan their travels accordingly," said an alert issued by the station.
