County officials Wednesday identified the woman killed in a single-car crash into a pole on Plum Canyon Road last weekend.

The victim was Vanessa Durazo Ontiveros, 27, of Saugus, said Lt. Fred Corral of the Los Angeles County Department of Coroner.

Ontiveros was declared dead at the scene of the crash early Sunday, according to officials with the California Highway Patrol and the Los Angeles County Fire Department.

At 5:15 a.m. Sunday, a car traveling in the northbound lanes of Plum Canyon Road collided with a traffic light pole just east of Heller Circle at a bend in the roadway.

It slammed into the pole in front of Fire Station 128, which is under construction, sparking a fire that engulfed the car.
