DeleteSt. Stephen’s Episcopal Church will hold the Santa Clarita Alternative Gift Fair on Nov. 5 and 6 as a way to help local shoppers find gifts this holiday season while also giving back to the community.

Shoppers can attend the free fair to learn how to give gifts of peace and justice, life-sustaining help for education, food and shelter, trees, fresh water, medicine and much more.

Exhibitors include Ten Thousand Villages, one of the founding members of the Fair Trade Association, which offers shoppers handmade craft items from more than 30 countries in Africa, Asia, Latin America and the Middle East.

Other gift suggestions include: Episcopal Relief & Development, Angel Interfaith Network, Beads for Life (from Africa), Church World Services, Nets for Life (malaria prevention), Safe Rides and the Santa Clarita Valley Emergency Winter Shelter.

The fair runs from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. on Nov. 5 and noon to 3 p.m. on Nov. 6 at the church, 24901 Orchard Village Road. For details, call (661) 259-7307.
