Lisam-Wagner wed

Mary Ann Lisam of Newhall and Bruce Wagner, Sr. of Newhall, were joined in marriage at Kelly’s Wedding Gardens in Newhall on July 16. The couple were wed in a double ring ceremony officiated by Pastor Bob Managbanag of the Methodist Church.

The bride is the daughter of Theodore and Mae Lisam of Newhall and the granddaughter of Yee Shi of China.

The groom is the son of Alexander and Elaine Wagner of Newhall.

The bride, given in marriage by her father, Theodore Lisam, wore a strapless Swarovski-beaded mermaid ivory gown for the wedding ceremony and wore the traditional Chinese wedding cheongsam gown for the reception. The veil was made with tulle and Swarovski crystals sewn by the bride herself. The bride’s bouquet was roses accented with a “W” Swarovski crystal. The bride wore gold and jade jewelry gifts from her Chinese family. 

Mehri Massomi, of Saugus, served as Maid of Honor. Bridesmaids were Belinda Pacheco of San Fernando and Agnes Masim of Santa Clarita.

Bruce Wagner, Jr. of Northridge served as Best Man. Groomsmen were William Wagner of Newhall and Cory Wagner of Myrtle Beach, S.C.

Flower girls were Evey Monge and Morgan Wagner of Los Angeles.

A reception for 120 guests from Oklahoma, South Carolina, Nevada and San Francisco was held at Kelly’s Steak & Seafood Restaurant.

The bride is a graduate of Polytechnic High School in Sun Valley and works as a licensing specialist. The groom is a computer programmer.

The couple are both Santa Clarita residents for more than 20 years and both have worked at Century-National Insurance Company for more than 15 years. They had an American/Chinese wedding at Kelly’s Wedding Gardens.

The couple honeymooned in Las Vegas. The will make their home in Newhall.
