Santa Clarita Christian vs. L.A. Lutheran
After falling to Thatcher 54-38 last Saturday, the Santa Clarita Christian Cardinals are ready to get back on track against the 2-4 L.A. Lutheran tonight at 7 p.m. Canyon High School.

"Last week was a tough loss," said Cards head coach Garrick Moss. "We fell apart defensively in the second half after doing very well in the first two quarters."

The Lions will have to stop quarterback/running back Colin Keoshian, who averages about 100 yards per game and his QB Steven Borden.

COC vs. Ventura
College of the Canyons, now 7-0 (3-0 in the National Northern Division) and No. 2 on the California Community Colleges poll, will take on Ventura College (3-3, 0-2 in the NND) tonight at COC at 7 p.m.

Canyons sophomore running back Fred Winborn averages two touchdowns per game, while Ventura sophomore Tim Pope has scored eight this year. But look for some passing offense as well from quarterback Brad McClellan or backup Joey Frias hitting their favorite target, wide out Hayo Carpenter.

Cougars kicker Ricky Drake has played in all seven games, and is 3-8 in field goals. Drake has a total of 50 points under his belt.

According to the CCC poll, Canyons is No. 1 in total offense, averaging 536.29 yards per game, while the Pirates are sitting at number 35, averaging 362 yards per contest.

On defense, COC is ranked No. 2 in the state, allowing 225.86 yards per game.
