Centurions slip past Indians

Saugus 3, Hart 2


Saugus defeated Hart, 25-22, 24-26,25-23,23-25,15-11, on Tuesday.

The Cenuturions' Katie Estes set a school record with 35 kills. Alyssa Terwall set a school record with 57 assists.

Jaclyn Clark set a school record with 28 digs and 15 kills and Taylor Schubert finished with 12 kills. Brigitte Mays had 25 digs.

Breena Beckett led the Indians squad with 12 kills while Casey David added nine kills and three aces.

Allison Toledo finished with 38 digs.

Saugus is 17-3 overall and 3-2 in league.

Hart 12, Saugus 6

In singles, Shelly Sachdeva won all three sets. Anne Susdorf won both of her sets 6-0, Julie Lefko won two and Cassie Moore won one.
In doubles, Hart duo Stacy Waung and Jessica Martinez won two sets. Saugus' doubles team Christina Callas and Megan Soucy who won three sets.
Hart is now 5-2 in the Foothill League.

Valencia 12, West Ranch 6


The Valencia top singles player and Fall Brawl Champion Isabella Fraczek won two sets and dropped one set to Anna Lucia Fuentes.

Thalia Wilczynski also added a pair of sets 6-0, 6-0 and 1-6 as well as Shin Jae Kim 6-0, 6-2, 0-6. The Vikings won six of nine sets in singles.

The Vikings doubles also won six of nine sets. Clarice Fraczek and Eunice Pack swept 6-1, 6-3, 7-5. Sister Emily Fraczek and Amanda Jannson added two more sets 6-1, 4-6, 6-1 and Chelsie Dietz and Andrea Zammit added another set 2-6, 3-6, 7-6 (12-10 in the tiebreaker).

The Vikings improve to 13-2 overall and 7-0 in Foothill League play and will take the court again at home Thursday against Hart.

Valencia 12, West Ranch 6


Valencia singles player Shenelle Trujillo won two sets while Kirstie Kwock and Lindsey Weberbauer won a set each. In doubles, the tandems of Nicole Lee/Michelle Savage, Carolyn Theo/Nicole Zammit and Arianna Michaels/Rhiannon MacKay won two sets each.
The Vikings improve their record to 11-0.
