Hammer-Wielding Domestic Violence Suspect Flees

Authorities seek help in locating suspect.

Deputies at the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station received a tip Monday afternoon that a Hispanic male fled his residence in the 19000 block of Vicci Street in Canyon Country after he allegedly used a hammer in an attempt to hit his wife and to wreck portions of his home.

After the alleged attack, deputies reported the suspect, currently identified as Marcos Blanco, as fleeing the scene in a 2000 Ford full-sized truck with single cab.

Suspect Blanco was reported as wearing blue jeans and a grey shirt with sleeves cut off.

Anyone with information about Blanco's whereabouts should contact the Sheriff's Station at (661) 255-1121.
