It's now less than two weeks until Halloween ... though with the recent ups and downs on Wall Street it seems we've had plenty of scary stuff to keep us awake at night!

The Wine Affair
What better way to spend a leisurely Sunday afternoon than sipping fine wines, sampling tasty delights, and browsing retailer wares, all while listening to great music and supporting a good cause? The Soroptimist Club International of Greater Santa Clarita hopes you'll join them for the inaugural "The Wine Affair ... Sip, Stroll and Savor the Sounds" today from 1 to 5 p.m. along Town Center Drive in Valencia. There's an impressive line-up of restaurants, retailers and wine bars participating in this debut event. Admission is $50 and proceeds will help support breast cancer awareness and the Sheila R. Veloz Breast Imaging Center. Head over to Town Center Drive and find the helpful Soroptimists who will be happy to sell you a ticket to the event.
