For the second time in nine months, a Stevenson Ranch clothing store has been hit by thieves.

Local sheriff's deputies are trying to find the thieves that stole $50,000 worth of jeans from a clothing store Monday night.

Some time overnight, thieves broke into the Fifty-Six Boutique clothing store on The Old Road near McBean Parkway and stole 172 jeans, a spokesman with the Santa Clarita Valley Sheriff's Station said Tuesday.

"This is the second time in nine months," said a woman who asked to be identified only as the owner.

"They smashed the glass and took a sledge hammer to my front door," she said.
